Work
We’ve worked with clients both small and large. We’re proud of the work we've done and strive to reach new heights with each project we tackle. What can we do for you?
We have recently worked on projects for…
Morris Haynes & Hornsby
All people deserve to be treated justly with dignity and respect, regardless of race, creed, gender, religion or social standing. The Seventh amendment to the United States Constitution preserves the right to trial by jury. All individuals who deserve redress for wrongful death, personal injury and other wrong doing shall be represented by motivated and competent legal counsel. Lawsuits benefit the public by forcing corporations to deal straightforwardly, to make safer products, provide a safer workplace, a clean environment, and quality health care.
Dr. Candace Floyd's Lab
This project is a work in progress. I am currently waiting on a little more content and a few more photos from the client.
This website was creatad for Dr. Candace Floyd's Neuroscience research laboratory at the University of Alababama. I used light colours and a very simple layout to keep things simple and fast since this is only an informational website.
The Knowles Firm
This client needed a logo for business cards and letter heads, as well as a website. Since they are a medical law firm, I needed to create a logo that would encompass both fields seamlessly. The final result was merging the Caduceus with the Scales of Justice on raised gold, which makes for a gorgeous business card or letterhead logo. The website mockup can be found here. However, I was never provided with content for the website, so that portion of this project is currently on hold.
Peace Takes Courage
Peace Takes Courage receives well over 50,000 hits per day and has been featured on MTV, in Mother Jones Magazine, The New York Times, The Rolling Stone and many other publications and news outlets.
The Blog and Photo Gallery of Gordon Lowrey
This is my personal website where I keep my blog, photography, philosophical discussions, and public PHP code. This layout is unique in that it will scale to fit any screen resolution. The layout should also grow and shrink if you increase or decrease the text size in your browser. Because of this, this layout style is very good for accessibility; most website's layouts break when you increase your browser's font size.
This website is also powered by my own blogging software. It was originally intended to be released as Open Source, but as soon as I released the code it was stolen. Every instance of my name and copyright was replaced with somebody elses and the entire code base was then released as their own. This is essentially theft, is against the GPL, and is illegal. To combat this, I have since removed the code repository and it is only available privately to trusted individuals.
One Global Community
I was presented with an interesting problem. The client asked for a round logo that showed the entire planet. My first idea was to split a globe in two and display each half individually, but this proved to be a bit unoriginal. So, what I did was draw my own rendering of the continents using the Dymaxion projection style. It equally represents every continent, and is geometrically proportionate.
Alabama Bride and Groom (Magazine)
I only created a logo mockup and typeface samples for this client. Unfortunately, their magazine never made it off the ground, so this work was never sent to print.
CSS Postcard
I created this layout to demonstrate the power of CSS and DIVs. This layout was inspired by a postcard that was sitting on my desk, hence the look of a postcard and torn paper. While not actually functioning as a real website, the layout is online and working, and is proof that you can do anything with CSS.
